When is it time for private home care?

It can be hard to determine when private home care services are needed.  The goal is to remain independent in the comfort of "home" safely.  Our Needs Assessment Worksheet will help you determine when to call Cardinal Home Partners.

Are you licensed?

We are licensed to provide both non-medical services by the State of GA's Department of Community Health as a Private Home Care Provider Agency.  We are licensed for real estate services in GA & SC.  We are bonded and insured. We take away the worry of payroll taxes, Worker’s Compensation, and other pitfalls of hiring private duty caregivers.

Do you offer short and long term home care services?

We provide hourly, part-time, and full-time care Monday-Friday.  Weekend care by appointment only.

Do you provide services in hospitals, rehabs, and Assisted Living Facilities?

Yes.  Our team is trained to assist clients recently discharged from such facilities and can provide private home care services wherever a client calls "home" -including Assisted Living Facilities.  We work closely with family and facilities to ensure a smooth transition.

How is your team screened?

We thoroughly screen each prospective employee.  Work history and personal references are checked.  National background checks are conducted.  We review and verify all professional credentials.  Staff are covered by professional liability insurance, workman's compensation, and are bonded through the agency.

Cost of services

We are committed to providing superior service with the flexibility you need.  The cost varies depending on number of hours and types of services provided.  We offer complimentary service assessments to provide client's with a customized care plan and cost quote for private home care services.

Payment options for home care services

Private pay is the most common method of payment.  Knowing how to pay for home care can be confusing.  Many times there are financial options that can help lessen the burden, and you may find that home care works to be the most affordable assisted living choice.  Options to help include Long-term care insurance, Veteran's Aid & Attendance, Private health insurance (check with your provider to verify benefits), Medicaid (At this time, Cardinal Home Partners is not a Medicaid provider).  Medicare does not currently cover private home care services.  Please contact us at 706-408-7520 to discuss your options.

Benefits of using an Agency as opposed to hiring a caregiver privately

There are many benefits to working with a licensed agency.  The primary reason is to prevent you from becoming an "employer" and being subject to paying payroll taxes including Social Security, Medicare, and Unemployment Insurance.  You would also be required to file payroll tax returns and provide your caregiver with Workers Compensation insurance.  In addition, if your caregiver is injured in your home, you are subject to significant legal liability and costs.

By working with an Agency, you are not considered the "employer" and are supported by our team of experienced professionals who understand requirements for providing exceptional in-home services.   All staff are screened, insured, and bonded through our Agency. Should a caregiver be ill or unable to work, an Agency will be able to provide trusted backup to ensure the continuity of services for you or your loved one.
